About WAG
Our Mission

The mission of the Woodbridge Animal Group (WAG) is to provide compassionate support for the homeless animals in the care of the Woodbridge Animal Shelter & Pet Adoption Center through fundraising, community events and outreach activities. Donations made to WAG help augment the veterinary and rehabilitative needs of the homeless animals in the Woodbridge Animal Shelter's care so that each animal may receive the highest level of professional treatment during their stay.

Woodbridge Animal Group (WAG) is a NJ 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation comprised of a group of people who care about the health and welfare of the animals in care of the Woodbridge Animal Shelter & Pet Adoption Center.

WAG believes that no adoptable shelter pet should go without the medical care they need simply for want of a home. We assist with bills for diagnostics, heartworm treatments, surgeries, amputations, intensive care, and many other veterinary treatments that are often life-saving. WAG does not work in a rescue capacity, but does work with rescues that help care for and rehome Woodbridge shelter pets.

WAG is entirely volunteer-run and holds fundraising, community events and outreach activities throughout the year. WAG relies solely on donations to help afford the best possible veterinary care for the shelter's furry, feathered, and even scaly residents!  WAG works in alignment with the needs and goals of the Woodbridge Shelter.
